Sadhguru is the founder and head of the Isha Foundation, based in Coimbatore, India. The foundation, established in 1992, operates an ashram and yoga centre that carries out educational and spiritual activities. Sadhguru has been teaching yoga since 1982.

the Isha Foundation mentioned that Sadhguru underwent an MRI scan on March 15 which showed massive bleeding in the brain. the founder of Isha Foundation—who underwent emergency surgery in Delhi’s Apollo Hospital after suffering massive swelling and bleeding in his brain.

Wishing a speedy and full recovery to Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar, said he was deeply concerned on hearing about the emergency brain surgery of the Sadhguru.

Sadhguru suffered multiple bleedings in the brain before being hospitalised due to a severe headache, the statement said. As the situation worsened, he underwent emergency brain surgery to relieve the bleeding in the skull on March 17 at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi.

Sadhguru has often said that “society is overripe for a spiritual process.” His fundamental vision is to offer the science of inner wellbeing to every human being – a science that helps a person realize the ultimate potential within. From this vision stem a multitude of projects, programs, and methods, all towards the same aim: to raise every human being to the peak of their potential, so that they are exuberant, all-inclusive, and in harmony within themselves and the world.
