Recruitment Overview
- The Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced 455 vacancies for the post of Security Assistant (Motor Transport) across India.

Tier I – Computer-Based Test (Objective)

- General Awareness (incl. current affairs, Indian polity, economy, science, geography, etc.)
- Quantitative Aptitude (topics like number systems, percentages, interest, time & work, data interpretation, etc.)
- Logical/Analytical/Reasoning (analogies, coding-decoding, puzzles, blood relations, etc.)
- English Language (grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, error spotting, para jumbles, etc.)
- Driving/Transport Rules (traffic signs/signals, vehicle basics, road markings, defensive driving, documents & penalties, first-aid, breakdown protocols, etc.)
Tier II – Practical/Skill Test
- Consists of a driving test and possibly an interview or spoken test in the local language.
- Evaluates real-world driving skills, vehicle handling, minor maintenance knowledge. Often qualifying in nature, with marks around 50 (driving) + 50 (interview) depending on the source.
