- Eastern Region: 156
- Western Region: 152
- Northern Region: 97

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 24 years (as of 31 August 2025)
- Relaxations applicable per government norms:
- +5 years for SC/ST
- +3 years for OBC (NCL)
- For PwBD, additional relaxations apply as stated in the official notice.
Educational Qualifications
- Technician Apprentice – Mechanical/Electrical/T&I: Three-year full-time diploma in relevant disciplines (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, etc.) from recognized institutes.
- Trade Apprentice – Assistant (Human Resource): Full-time Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Trade Apprentice – Accountant: Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Commerce
- Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentices): Minimum 12th pass (but below graduation).
- Domestic Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders): 12th pass plus a recognized skill certificate in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ under NSQF or other government-authorized bodies.
Other Key Eligibility Points
- Only candidates who have completed the requisite qualification by 31 August 2025 are eligible. Those awaiting final results are ineligible.
- Minimum aggregate marks: 50% for general category; 45% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants.
- Only regular, full-time courses are accepted—no part-time, correspondence, or distance education.
- Applicants with advanced or additional qualifications like BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, etc., even if completed before joining, are not eligible.
Stipend & Training Details
- Duration of apprenticeship: 12 months
- Stipend and allowances are as per Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and IOCL guidelines.
Selection Process
- No written test or interview. Selection purely merit-based on percentage obtained in the essential qualification.
- Tie-breakers: older candidate is preferred; if tied, higher matriculation marks are considered.
- Reserved category reallocation: SC → ST → OBC → EWS → UR, if unfilled.
- Candidates must be medically fit as per IOCL’s pre-engagement standards.
Application Procedure
Step 1: Register on NATS or NAPS portal
- Technician Apprentices (Mechanical / Electrical / T&I): NATS portal
- Trade Apprentices (HR / Accountant) and Data Entry Operators: NAPS portal
- Use the respective Establishment ID per region (e.g., ERPL, WRPL, NRPL, SRPL, SERPL)
Step 2: Apply on Indian Oil Pipelines Portal
- Visit https://plapps.indianoilpipelines.in/
- Use the same email and mobile number registered on NATS/NAPS
- Complete two parts of registration:
- Part-I: Enter basic details and create password
- Part-II: Upload photograph (20–50 KB JPG), signature (10–30 KB JPG), educational, personal, and category details.
- Submit before 18 September 2025 and download a copy of the submitted application.
Step 3: Document Verification & Medical Examination
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified via IOCL website
- Original documents (e.g., DOB certificate, caste, educational certificates, Aadhaar-linked bank passbook, medical fitness, etc.) are to be produced at the time of document verification.
