🧑‍🎓 Eligibility Criteria

General Duty (GD)

• Age: 21–25 years as on 1 July 2025 (born between 1 July 2000 and 30 June 2004); relaxations: SC/ST +5 yrs, OBC +3 yrs, Coast Guard/armed forces serving up to +5 yrs
• Education:
  • Graduate degree with ≥60% aggregate (or diploma + graduation route)
  • Mathematics & Physics at 10+2 level

Technical (Engineering / Electrical‑Electronics)

• Age & Relaxation: Same as GD (21–25 as on 1 July 2025 with same relaxations)
• Education:
  • B.E./B.Tech degree (≥60% marks) in disciplines including Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Metallurgy, Mechatronics, Aeronautical, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Instrumentation, Power Engineering, etc.
  • Must have Maths & Physics at 10+2 level; AMIE/diploma + degree valid if covering required subjects with 60% aggregate

🧪 Selection Process (5 Stages)

1. Stage‑I: Coast Guard Common Admission Test (CGCAT)
   • Computer-based test: 100 MCQs, 4 marks each, –1 negative marking, 2 hours
   • Sections: English, Reasoning & Numerical Ability, General Science & Mathematical Aptitude, General Knowledge (25 questions each)
2. Stage‑II: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB) – Cognitive tests, Picture Perception & Discussion Test (qualifying)
3. Stage‑III: Final Selection Board (FSB) – Psychological tests, group tasks, and interview over 4–5 days
4. Stage‑IV: Medical Examination – Base Hospital Delhi with prescribed medical standards (vision, height, chest, hearing, tattoos rules)
5. Stage‑V: Induction & Document Verification – Final merit list; training begins at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala

💸 Application Fee

• ₹300 for General/OBC/EWS
• SC/ST/PwBD: Exempted
• Fee payable online via credit/debit card, net banking, UPI, etc.

💼 Salary & Career Progression

• Pay Level 10, Basic Pay ₹56,100 (7th CPC)
• On promotion: Deputy Commandant ₹67,700 → Commandant ₹78,800 → Additional Director General ₹1,82,200 → Director General ₹2,05,400 (increments and allowances apply)
